Dammed if you do and dammed if you don’t

acrylic on canvas

This piece represents hard times of loneliness and isolation. Situations that leave you with no options.  A situation where you feel dammed if you do and dammed if you don’t. Trapped between two monsters is the main character, the second from the left.

The first group of monsters is on the right.  Representing the retreat and the return to failure.  In addition, the other monster is the one on the left (the one who is in front of the main character). This monster, with one of his hands, is grabbing the neck of the character.  That is to say, he is trying to suffocate him and with the other hand he is grabbing his balls trying to kill the main character’s courage. As a result, he feels trapped and dammed if he does go forward and dammed if he retreats. No options available. He is dammed if he does and dammed if he

A few words:
There are times in life, hard times when you feel lonely. That is to say, nobody understands you, nobody knows what you’re going through. One of these times is when you feel trapped without options. When you can no longer go forward but you can’t also go back and change direction. Therefore, you feel frozen and you stay steel.  That’s when you wake up and you have no courage to get on your feet and fight because you can’t see anything good coming.

That’s when life scares the shit out of you and you can only see the darkest of the dark approaching. A big monster in front of you with one hand grabbing your neck, suffocating you, and with the other hand grabbing your balls, trying to suck out the last courageous drops left inside you. Subsequently, behind you even worst shit is happening. For instance, the demons of failure are waiting for you.

You are dammed if you do and dammed if you don’t.
